Do you like Ken Holland's thinking?

Lilja- have agreed to terms and all he needs to do is put the contract out for him to sign! Around 1.3mil a yr for 2 years

Cheli- agreed to terms already... Holland says he will talk with CHELI, if he accepts being the 7th Dman and a scratch and there for injury purposes.. he is signed!

Stuart- sounds like a stretch to sign with us... Stuart has to see a specialist this week on a shoulder injury that wont go away... may need surgery and could be out a lot of time next year!

Filppula- Was tendered a contract.. will match basically anything he is offered within reason! If he is offered something outrageous and FLIP decides to sign it, they will have to let him go

Dallas Drake- Sounds like he is done! Has told Holland which way he is leaning... but Holland says he will try one more time to get him back!

Sundin will be offered a substantial one year deal on July 1st if he hasnt signed by then! If he turns it down, they will offer Rolston a one year deal.

  1. "In Holland we trust"

I would rather have a healthy Stuart over Lilja any day. I'd be surprised to see them make a big move on Sundin.

My question is where are you getting your infomation? I think I do a pretty good job of keeping up with the news but some of what you have here I haven't read anywhere.

  2. Well.....he's doing a better job than Ray Shero I can tell you that.

Ryan Malone told us to 's***w it' after we blew him off.

Marian Hossa is walking out on us, but he's trying to atleast be classy. He says we're still his 'top choice'. I think he's full of shite.

Brooks Orpik.....supposedly Shero offered him something, but he doesn't think Brooks will accept it.

Good Job Shero, It's almost July 1st and you don't have any of your 14 or so UFAs signed.

Have fun with Holland who actualy knows what they're doing.

  3. Holland is a future hall-of-famer, so whatever he does now never surprises me. And, let's not forget Detroit's head European scout, Hakan Andersson. This guy has quietly solidified his status as one of the greats too.

  4. I will blindly follow Ken Holland off a cliff if he assures me I won't get hurt.  He's that good.  I'll trust that he'll be sending out one of the best teams in the league (as usual) next season.

  5. Yes. Ken Holland is the best GM of any team in any of the pro sports.

The wings will win the cup again next year.

Stanleys back home in detroit baby.

  6. I agree with LITY on the Ericsson thing. The kid only played 8 games and he showed what I think was more talent than Abdelkader did. But Idk they know more than I do, and there's a reason for everything he does.

But as for the Sundin, I read that earlier, and i was shocked. I honestly Don't think Detroit should look for anyone over the age of 35, I'm being serious.

Flip Flip- I really don't think they'll let him go...i really hope they don't let him go..

and as for Stuart and Drake, They're gone.

  7. I was actually surprised by some of his comments on the floor at the draft

    1.  He is extremely interested in Sundin, but doesn't want to give anything up for him,  so they have not seeked early permission - and may lose him as a result

    2.  I was surprised that Ericsson may spend another year in the minors because Holland doesn't think he's ready for the NHL yet.

    3.  I'm surprised he doesn't think Osgood can handle the load and is seeking a goaltender with NHL experience.
