  1. It depends on how they made them. Did they use vodka or gin? A real martini is supposed to be made with gin.  Believe it or not, vodka started being used because of James Bond. And then there's all the spinoff's, chocolatinis, appletinis, and so on and so forth. It also depends on how you drink it, did you just down it? You're supposed to just sip at it. If you didn't like the ones you tried, don't be afraid to try another, with all the variations out there, you're bound to like something.

  2. I like sweeter drinks too.  Now they make different flavored martini's.  u should try an apple martini.

  3. I enjoy a real martini, made with Tanqueray gin.  I think it's a sacrilege to call the chocolate, apple and other variations martinis.

  4. A vodka martini,or one of those sweet ones like a cosmo are ok (and strong too) but the gin martini is just a little too much for me.  I like a gin and tonic once in awhile, though.

  5. no

  6. Try a lemon drop martini, you'll love it!  Served with a sugared rim...

    Lemon Drop Martini Ingredients

        * 1 1/2 ounces vodka

        * 1/2 ounce triple sec

        * 1 teaspoon superfine sugar

        * 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice

        * Superfine sugar for dipping

        * Twisted peel of lemon

    Mixing The Lemon Drop Martini

    The vodka, triple sec, sugar and lemon juice go into an ice filled shaker.

    Now, pay attention. As was explained in Johnnie’s best martini recipe, you want to be careful when shaking or mixing your martini so that you don’t “bruise” the alcohol. However, with this recipe you have added a solid ingredient. That solid ingredient, the sugar, needs to get mixed into the cocktail otherwise you’ll have small, unappealing granules at the bottom of the glass and the drink will lack the desired sweetness.  So, you need to shake sufficiently to fully dissolve the sugar but don’t go crazy with it or you will end up with shards of ice floating in your glass.

    We should explain that you should be using superfine sugar, which is not the granulated sugar you find in that sugar bowel and sprinkle on your corn flakes. Superfine sugar is instantly dissolving sugar that is typically used in drinks and for baking. This is good news, because as we’ve said we want the sugar to fully dissolve into the cocktail without being too aggressive with the shaking. Our martini will be sweetened, we won’t have a pool of sugar granules at the bottom of the glass, and we won’t have ice shards.

  7. I love a good martini. I can't have more than one, though.

  8. I like Gin and Vermouth... but I prefer Gin and Tonic.

    Edit...

    Gin is definately an adult drink.  It has a unique flavor from the juniper berries that makes it almost pine tar like.

    I suggest a gin and tonic with lime... on the rocks.  It's very refreshing.

  9. i only drink gey foose

  10. Love them - next time try a Cosmopolitan Martini!!

  11. I love them Dirty....

    Sweet gives me a headache

  12. My wife does, but I prefer vodka or rum instead of gin. Give me a good vodka collins any day.

  13. A martini is not a sweet drink.  Once you start adding sweet mixers to it, it is no longer a martini.  People may call it a martini, but it isn't.  It might even taste better, still not a martini.  It seems like you might enjoy something like a margarita more.

  14. Not into them at all. I'd rather have a margarita or long island iced tea.

  15. I never understand this...aren't ALL martinis strong? Isn't it just straight vodka or gin?

    I think they're gross, btw. Jack n coke for me.

  16. Nothing personal, they aren't my taste.  My girlfriend loves them, so gets the martini and I get the vodka tonic.

  17. you can have all different sorts of martinis - that range from dry to very sweet

    appletinis

    chocolate martinis

    cosmopolitans

    cherry limeadetinis

    the possibilities are endless :)
