I feel sorry for the guy - he needs to be put out to pasture and enjoy his remaining days.

  1. I like him and honor his service..However, He seems to have an agenda, a grudge against someone, and if elected he will destroy women's rights by loading the Supreme Court Bench...He should retire and enjoy his homes.

  2. I think he is the best and most qualified man to lead The United States over the next four years.

  3. I do not like McCain. I don not like him in the rain. I'm very sure he'll cause great pain. I will not vote for the man McCain. Not then, not now, nor ever again.

I apologize to everyone. This is what popped into my head when I saw this question. The sentiment is very genuine though.

  4. My biggest problem with McCain is the McCain-Feingold bill that is a clear violation of the first amendment.

Off topic I have a warning for Government & Politics regulars:

  5. no I don't like him and no he's not up for the job, but I don't think he's going to make the election.

  6. Another lib hypocrite.  I thought you libs were all about being accepting and non-judgemental. Instead you discriminate based on age.

I guess that's all you losers have, huh?

Seeing that McCain is now winning almost all the battleground states in the polls....I would say he is doing pretty well.  Especially after he wiped the floor with Obama in the debate last Saturday.

    LOSER

  7. I liked McCain better 8 years ago.  He is not the same guy today that he was then.........

  8. I don't like McCain, but I also think he's up for the job.

  9. I think I like the Republicans but I simply think the party is not up to the job. It is not McCain as much as the Republicans.

  10. I believe he is up to the job, far more than his opposition.(wrong choice there)

  11. obama is the man hes younger and know what hes doing! mccain is an old b*****d that wants to ruin our country and plus hes white no offense i love white people but most of them are racist! OBAMA 08!! go VISIBLE MINORITES WE IMMIGRANTS ARE TAKIN OVA HOMIE1 GO BLACKZ, ASIANZ, MEXICANOZ

  12. Well he's more up to the job and the compitition.

  13. I'm the opposite. I like Obama but don't think he's up for the job so I have to go with McCain.

  14. I don't know why you would feel sorry for him.  He seems to have a great life.  Our president needs to have experience and I am sorry but Obama just isn't up to the task.  He may give a good speech, but that is not enough to be president.  You will think 70 is old until you are 70.  My mom is 83 and is very active and not interested in being put out to pasture.

  15. I like McCain.

He would be a mediocre President. He is not really running for President, he is running for Commander in Chief.

That is the problem. He will appoint neocons to every conceivable position (just like Bush did) and allow them to dictate policy (just like Bush has) while he plays General and bleeds the treasury (just like Bush has) and ignores every aspect of domestic policy (just like Bush has).

McCain did what any Republican would be required to do to receive the nomination while the neocons control the White House, knuckle under to their demands and conform to their policy controls.

The only way for the Republicans to get their party back is to lose the Presidency.

The Democrats will be doing them a HUGE favor by winning in November.

  16. I don't like him and I don't think he's up to the job.  Quite frankly, I would question the fitness of any 72 year old.

  17. Nope. Biden is only a few years younger.

  18. McCain is up to the job... much more so than his opposition... I just would rather have a more conservative candidate.

  19. He is in better health than " the next president of the united states" Joe Biden is.

  20. Even at his age, he is more "up to the job" than Obama is. Obamas' choice of Biden proves that Obama is serioulsy lacking in any meaningful experience.

  21. your opinion, not mine.

    i'm voting for mccain.

  22. i'm not OBSESSED with mccain, but i thyink he's wayy better than Obama

so i'm glad he's running, and yes, i think he's up for the job

  23. McCain is up to being President; he's been in the Senate for years and is pretty spry for his age,  He may not be the best choice, but the best is not running.
