Do you like Piers?

After the Weston Super Mare fire ~ I got thinking how I love Piers.

What about you? Got a favourite?

That is sad. i used to go to Weston Super Mare on days out as a child, whilst  living in Gloucestershire.

I think the old piers are lovely and should be preserved. They are part of British history.

As for Piers Morgan, i like his intelligence and wit also.

Not really my thing.

I love sitting close to the water, for example, on a jetty or harbour wall- somewhere I can dip my toes in the water. The noise of the water is therapeutic, and very relaxing.

I don't like piers as the water under them tends to look dirty, and is too far below you to dip your feet in! Then there are the hideous "attractions" like c**p cafes, arcades, cheap tat for sale etc.

No, I don't like them at all. I wouldn't ever burn them (or anything!) down, but am not sorry if they do go, as they remind me of the outdated "British Seaside Holiday" of which I hope never to have another!

No. Such things are outdated. If you want to fish, then hire or buy a boat. That's where the fish are. For anybody else, it's for fishing and not everything else.

yes i loved weston pier because i live in weston....brought up on days out on pier and kissed a few boys there too,lots of good memorys....

I love going to the pier when we go to the seaside, they're great fun for kids. I always laugh at them because they won't step on the cracks in case they fall in the water lol. It's such a shame what happened at Weston Super Mare. I hope they rebuild it rather then leave it like they did at Brighton.
