  1. yes i love rome very much, and have been there twice already.  i have a friend who lives there, just outside the vatican gardens.  my best memory is of dinner at taverna dei mercanti in trastevere.  awesome restaurant.  i have been looking for zucchini fiori here in new york, but no luck so far..  :-(

  2. I think its just living off on its ancient monuments.

I wonder why vatican is a seperate state.

Hotels are very expensive, but too much crowd and rubbish on the road outside rome station.

  3. Yes, I LOVE Rome. More simpler ?

  4. I like it, specially its lively atmosphere, but there were too many tourists when I was there last summer. Also, it has a disastrous traffic. The pizza was delicious in a small bar whose name I don't remember and the monuments, included in the Vatican, really interesting.

  5. Ciao,

I am Italian and I was born in Rome (al Gemelli) 33 years ago...

I have been living in London for the past 10 years and I have also been travelling a lot around the world (I have been to Australia, USA and I have seen most European capitals) but I still think Rome is the most beautiful city in the world!!!

  6. I visited Rome with my family in 2003 and it was wonderful

  7. We adore Rome. Everything about it is great, the food, the sights and lovely people.

We will definitely be returning, in fact i think i could live there!

  8. I have never been there, but I know it's great.  All the history makes me want to get on a jet and fly there in a hurry.  I live in Turner Oregon, USA and I really want to go see the Vatican! I'm Catholic, God Bless

  9. Hello, I've visited Rome 3 times the last 5 years and every time I was thinking that I have to come back because I didn't see all the places I've planned to visit.

Some of the places I've visited and I can't forget are the famous  monument of Colosseum, the Fontana di Trevi (the most famous and photographed fountain in Rome), Pantheon (dedicated to the seven planetary divinities and featuring an interior of gorgeous marble), the Vatican Museums (the biggest collection of art in the city, including Michelangelo's ceiling of the Sistine Chapel), the Villa Borghese (famous villa of 17th century which is surrounded by one of the largest and most beautiful public parks in Rome),

Piazza di Spagna (located in the heart of Rome, this elegant square is surrounded by 18th-century buildings augmented by the colorful flowers that adorn the Spanish Steps), and more and more...

Every traveler who visits Europe, someday has to stay at least for a week in Rome.

Rome is like a open museum. Amazing city!

  10. I'm a Canadian who moved to Rome this past summer.  I love here, as long as I never have to drive into the historic centre.  The people are wonderful, the food is fabulous, the history and architecture is amazing!!  I ask myself everyday, "How did I get so lucky!"

  11. i think it is fab, great place to take my wife for a romantic weekend

    HAPPY DAYS

  12. I've been to Rome 3 times, and am planning to go next spring.  I think it's one of the most fascinating places on earth , layers of history, so many monuments.  Everytime I've been I've discovered something new which I didn't see before.  I love everything about Rome, the ancient Roman monuments, the art and architecture, and the atmosphere, a very warm friendly city.  And it doesn't feel like a 'big city'.  I look forward to visiting again.

    Best wishes,  Jocelyn

In Italy there are also many other beautiful cities: Venezia, Firenze, Ferrara, Bologna,Urbino, exc...

  18. I love rome and the people. The sites are fantastic and Vatican City is magnificent.

What I dont understand is why they have no problems with terrorists given that the RC church was the creator of the crusades etc and the Pope recently made one h**l of a big mistake by stating that Mohammed was nothing more than a murderer.
