  1. Great story.  I did just that today.

  2. Interesting; but I see no moral component. The inate ability to aquire wealth is one thing. The inbred culturalization in how to live comfortably with wealth is another. You do not need to go back as far as 80 years to find examples of talent that soared and exploded like rockets.  The annals of sport and entertainment are full of them.

If there is any moral resonance it is the expression "Beware of what you wish for, because you just might get it."

Overpowering all of that is the amoral, laconic observation "Easy come; easy go."  I think that says it all.

  3. I get the irony of your story.  I like it.  How 'bout this one.

A pastor of a church saw a kitten climb up a tree in his backyard and then it wouldn't come down.  The pastor coaxed, offered warm milk, etc.  Nothing worked.  The tree was not sturdy enough to climb, so the pastor tied a rope to his car and drove just far enough so that the tree bent down low enough to reach the kitten.  But he drove a little too far and the rope broke and the kitten went flying through the air.  He looked all through the neighborhood but could not find the kitten, so he prayed and asked the Lord to commit this kitten to his keeping.  A few days later the pastor was at the grocery store and met one of his church members.  Much to his surprise he saw cat food in her shopping cart.  Everyone knew she hated cats.  He asked her why she was buying cat food and she told him this amazing story.  Her daughter was nagging her to death about getting a kitten and she wouldn't allow it.  The mother finally said if God gave her a kitten that she could keep it.  She continued, my daughter went out into the back yard, knelt down and asked God for a kitten, and you won't believe this but a kitten came flying through the air, legs out-spread like a bird and landed right in front of her.

MORAL  Never underestimate the Power of God and what may appear to be breaking on one end, is answering a prayer on another.
