  1. Nope...  He almost took Jr's arm off,  smiles like a 8 year old at the carnival,  the Kenseth thing...    and the backflip is retarded.


  2. I like Carl. I think he has 2 faces sometimes though. He looks like Opie Taylor.

  3. Not one of my favorites but he is alright. If it came down to him and Kyle for the championship I would want Carl to win.

    Carl does have a nice personality and does thank about everybody he can, he is a nice guy just not one of my favorites.

  7. He is a nice person so yes I like him.  However he is not one of my favorites.  I would say I am blah on him.

  8. i like carl edwards. i don't "like like" carl edwards - he's not my type in so many  ways - but i do like the fact that he too has that "fire in the belly." i used to think he was completely bland and/or a phony too, but after watching his post-race interviews the times that he's finished second - to rowdy (three times) or jimmie (at least once) - he's got it. he may not have the personality type that lets him express it like rowdy does, which i do really like, but it's still there. the way he backs off from the mic, he says "it's just hard, finishing second" then generally paces while the next question is asked, you know he just wants to scream, but he holds his composure.

    and i like that he likes to RACE and that he doesn't revel in someone else's bad luck. i gained a heck of a lot of respect for him earlier this year during the all-star race when he came on the radio and was really disappointed that rowdy's engine was falling apart - he wanted to beat him on the track, not watch him go to the garage. even when he loses, he's gracious about the other driver and seems genuinely happy about how much fun it was to race them hard, win or lose. again, he makes no bones about the fact that he doesn't like to lose - second place is first loser for him - but you can tell he really likes a good challenge. even when he finishes further back, if he was racing someone hard for laps on end, he's happy about it. i do believe he's happier racing hard and barely losing then blowing away the field - where's the challenge in that?

    he has good sportsmanship.

    I think that the fact that he doesn't take a lot of credit for himself makes him quite a bit better than the ones out there who are too proud. One particular comes to mind....

    at the end of the day, ALL that matters are the points that will win the Sprint Cup.

  11. Yes, I like Carl. He seems like a very nice guy and a good driver. I also like his back flip, but ( not trying to be rude to him ) i'm surprised that he hasn't fallen on his bottom yet!

He is one of my 13 drivers that I pull for every week but not at top of the list...he is ok but not one of the best, yes he is getting better but he is out driven by Kyle, Smoke, Johnson ,Kenesth,Hamlin, Gordon and Jr..there I said it, not to offend anyone..but I am a Hendricks Team Fan as well as Gibbs

    And his personality..never know what you gonna get when race is over one day funny and smiling..next..total jerk, sorry just an opinion

  16. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.  Depends on my mood I guess.  I will say whenever I see him interviewd outside the track he is one funny guy.

  21. Oh I like him OK.  he's vanilla.  Kind of without personality. His backflips are what defines him.  He does win some races which is more than I can say about some of the other drivers I support.  

  22. Yes I like him. He's quickly become my favorite driver this year. I've been looking for an all-time fave since Rusty Wallace retired at the end of 2005. And I believe Carl is it.

  23. I love Carl Edwards.  He is my like my midwestern dream man.

  24. Carl is a genuine racer. He's old-school in his approach to racing. That means he recognizes that there are alot of talented racers who haven't got the opportunities he has. He's thankful for those opportunities, and I can't fault him for that.

    His talent and his attitude is why I do root for him every week.

  25. He's not my favorite. But I think he's a nice guy and good driver. I do agree he needs to quit thanking everyone. My goodness, he'll be thanking me during his next interview. Yes Carl take some credit.
