  1. Haven't been, but I would LOOOOOVE too!!!!

  2. I went on the 4 night cruise to Mexico on Carnival and had a great time.  We never had any problems with food service.  If you have problems next time, then ask to be assigned to a different table with a different server the next night.  They will switch you with no hassles. If you don't have children, then try Royal Caribbean cruise line next time.  They don't have as much to offer for kids, but for adults the are great.

  3. I just got back from my very first cruise.  I won it, and loved it.  I've already booked my second and it will be in October.  I found a good way to save on my cruise by sailing on a group fare.  I went to www.getset2cruise.com and click on groups, and there's a list of groups that will allow you to join in their group sailing, without belonging to the group.  I guess it helps them get better rates, and you benefit too..

    Happy sailing!!!

  4. I am going this May and am hoping to love it. I will let you know how it goes.

  5. I LOVE to cruise!  I don't get to as often as I would like to....but to me it is a perfect vacation.  There is nothing like going to sleep to the gentle rolling of the ship...waking up and having coffee and croissants on my private balcony.  The service!  The food!  The shows!  The ports!  What's not to love!  I am going on a group cruise in Jan. '09.  It is going to be a FUN group!  Come check us out! http://www.troublemakertours.com/  We also have a cruise message/info board:   http://www.cruiseshiptalk.com/

  7. I love to cruise. I have been on eight cruises, even a 29 day cruise from Australia to Los Angeles. All our cruises were with Princess cruise lines. The food and entertainment has always been great. Seeing parts of the world, the tours, and nature such as Alaska were all spectacular. Never once did I have any problems even when we had to go to medical, they were wonderful. Just perfect. If I went on a cruise and it was just OK, I would switch cruise lines. That's why We have stuck with Princess.

  8. ive done a few.... quite frankly they all seem to be the same.....lots of food    junky ports full of stuff you can get at home.....bad entertainment.       try a transatlantic if you want to really experience the sea!!

  9. From the stories I heard, the answer is a resounding no!  Going on a cruise is like withdrawing a big wad of cash from your account, and burning it in your fireplace.  For example, you're not allowed to bring your own alcohol onboard, just so the cruise line can price gouge you at the bar.  (They're probably making up for getting price gouged by oil companies when they buy diesel fuel for the ships.)  And while the food is included, you have to pay for soft drinks all the time.  When you eat, of course the food will make you thirsty.  Again, price gouging.  As a result, you overspend big time.  So unless you have a trust fund and/or tons of money in the bank, I don't recommend going on a cruise.

You can get the same, if not better, experience at an all-inclusive resort in a tropical country.  (My recommendation is Mexico.)  EVERYTHING is included: food, soft drink, coffee, tea, water, and alcohol.  You pay once, and never have to count money for the whole trip, except to tip the people working at the resort.  And you can even go to a nearby town, where you can get great deals on whatever.
