Do you like doing homework with you kids? Or do you find it?

stressfull? I like doing homework with my daughter but she fustrates me. Not the work it's the attention span. I guess that goes along with being in K. Next year she might have more interest.

I like doing homework with the kids because its a way to bond..... plus u get to see them growing in action and learning

Yes, it can get frustrating but try not to do too much at one time - maybe 10-20 minutes then take a breather and come back to it. That seemed to help me as well as my son when he was in K. With each year they get more focused and it becomes less frustrating.

I like doing it. My kids are more smart than.....the rest of there classes. My kids are in K too

I love doing hmwk with the kids.  For my K/1st graders we have a chart on the fridge.  It has basics.....  brush teeth, shower, homework, clean up toys.......  anyways they know if they do hmwk they get a mark on the chart and they have goals for the end of the wk that they pick out themselves.  They pick different prizes for 20 marks, 30 marks and 40 marks.  It might be a book or a snack they like from the grocery store.....  simple stuff.  I've only had 1 out of 4 that I struggle with sometimes and it's the 15 yr old...  lol.  It happens but don't stress K is almost over and you are right next year will have even more interesting things.  Over the summer practice reading 20 min a day or at least 5 days/wk.  During the summer I buy my kids a spiral and each day they draw a pic with a short story or just a pic and tell me about it.  They have been doing that since 4.
