  1. I like both. As a driving instructor I have no option but to sit in the passenger seat most of the time.  I do not get stressed or suffer from nerves, it is one of the most rewarding jobs ever.  Women are far safer and easier to teach than young men.  The men want to just get going and don't want all the legal stuff told to them. I had one boy who tried to show off his driving skills one day, and as a professional I do know what I am doing all the time, I put my clipboard right in front of his view.  He crapped himself and considering doing 55 in a country road he managed to stop the car.  He was shaking and I told him that if you drive like a wanker you will be treated like one too.  After that he calmed down.

I have no worries about crashing a car to prove a point to someone.  Women as I say are far superiour drivers.  They do have to have one thing though to become safe drivers,  children.  The number of girls I've taught who are single, career women are totally different to pregnant and just given birth drivers.....single women have no worries, pregnant/mothers want to get home safely and as such will drive a lot safer.

As a people watcher this has never changed in my view.

In about 2 hours I have a man who has just recently been issued with his provisional licence.  After 20 years of driving he got behind the wheel of his car drunk and killed a passenger.  7 years on, he is going back out on the road today.  My car is a new style corsa 2008, but as I do over 16k miles every 4 months I get a new car then.  lovely.

  2. I like being driven but I must sit in the front as I get travel sick in the back :-)

    I drive a Vauxhall Zafira.

  3. I prefer to drive.   I drive a Corsa.    I am three times a lady.   I think it is 50,, 50    in the driving stakes.     Neither s*x is better it is up to the individual. I mean the confidence thing as well.  There is confidence and lunacy from both sides.

  4. i love to drive,im thinking my career will be in some kind of transportation! my moms car i will be driving from now on is a pontiac grand am!

  5. I am the principal driver in the family.I hate sitting in the back-you can't see anything. The women I'm familiar with are less confident.

  9. Depends where I am going. If we are going shopping I prefer to go with my wife in her car and to be a front seat passenger. If we are going for a long run somehere I would rather drive my own car

  10. If its a short distance i like to drive but if its really long distance i like to be driven but i sit in the front!

  11. If I know where I'm going, I like to drive.  Otherwise, I'd rather have someone else drive.  I like to sit in the passenger seat

  12. I like driving minus the fact that one arm is like 50 shades darker... I'm like two people at the same time.

  13. Wow four questions for the price of one!

    OK

    1) I like driving, and only like being driven if the person driving is a good driver - hence why I make such a good driving instructor!

    2) I hate to sit in the back - can't reach my dual controls!!

    3) I don't think that either s*x is more confident than the other - it depends entirely on the individual - I get confident girls and lads - some are TOO confident!!

    4) I have a car - would struggle to work without it really - it's a ford fiesta zetec blue and it's a great little car to learn to drive in!

  14. I know im less comfortable driving with a woman driving anywheres near me. sorry gals ive seen some pretty stupid moves by ya'll

  15. I prefer to be driven, especially if I'm going somewhere I've never been before. I've always liked sitting in the back because it's more spacious and relaxing. I never undersood the whole "calling shotgun" thing. Unfortunately, I drive a Porsche, and no one else can shift the gears. I'm also too big for the back seat. Woe is me.

  16. I dont mind who drives, I do a lot of driving so am quite happy to let my hubby drive. I think confidence depends on the driver, I am a confident driver. I drive a Hyundai.

  17. I can't sit in the front when I'm not driving, I get carsick.  I don't really think there is a gender that is more confident behind the wheel, there are good and bad in both gender.
