  1. good things about it : your neighbors cant spy on you, it helps keep animals out, its more private .

bad things: you wouldnt be able to see if theres a scene behind your property from your house or yard, you wouldnt be able to see who's driving by your house .             idk tats wut i think

  2. Hated it.  Cast shade where I wanted to plant sun plants; always looked half-rotten, tended to blow out sections in wind storms.

The idiots who put it up set posts directly in concrete, which

caused them to rot at the base and the entire fence had to be

taken down, the old concrete dug up, new footers poured (with proper saddles) and then the fence re-erected.

Thankfully, it was a rental house.

I far prefer landscaping for privacy, which is what we have now.

  3. yes love the privacy and it makes the garden more intimate and gives me a backdrop for my flower beds

oh and a save place for the dogs and kids

  4. Heck no.  I just brought a house and I am used to chain linked fences and beautiful yards.  Where I am now, they all have wooden fences which was strange to me because they look old and worn after about a year.  The houses are very beautiful, but the fences, once worn, make the property look bad.  They are privacy fences because the houses are so close together.  The privacy is good, but the fences look so terrible.  Benifit:  Privacy.  Drawbacks:  Look terrible after 1 year.

  5. Not a huge fan of wooden fences because they decay so fast.  Takes a lot of up keep on them.  I now live in AZ and everyone here has block fence.  These things are a dream.  No maintenance to worry about.  You can get different designs and colors to make it original.

  6. h**l yes to privacy fence. i like to lay out and i dont want any perverts looking at me. you can also let your dog loose and you dont have to worry about people/things wandering onto your property.

  7. I have the privacy fencing on the sides of my yard, but not on the back side of it, which overlooks a canyon, the neighbors on the otherside of the canyon can see my yard, but the ones on the side only can if the are up high on a ladder.  I kinda like the privacy, if I need to go outside to take care of my dogs-and I am wearing like nightclothes or just do not look my best, it doesn't matter. I also like that it makes it my own little private world back there, but it's not a closed in feeling since only the sides are fenced up, not the back side.

  8. It is normal to have privacy fencing from the front corners of Aussie houses right to the back fence.Nowadays a product called colour-bond is used in place of the wooden planks as it is longer lasting.

Draw backs, wood attracts termites, benifits you get to have your BBQs & pool parties without the neighbours looking on! lol

  9. I love privacy fences, however wood just doesn't last.My back yard is my Shangri-La,a place of tranquility.

I really don't worry about nosy people, stray dogs and there messes, kids running through the yard.So yes I love the privacy, regardless of what the neighbors think.

    My Best

  10. It is great to have the privacy.  If you are concerned about the maintenance, consider getting a vinyl fence.
