Do you like mixed greens, or more commonly called Spring mix?

I guess it's a mixture of a bunch of young lettuces, but they're never really speicific It's very delish by the way.

I like to put it on sandwiches rather than plain old iceberg lettuce. Also, I will mix spring mix with other types of bagged salad when making a tossed salad for dinner! Yum!

yes i do i love it spring mix is very good and you are right it is baby lettuce types ,it is also known as mesculin salad but to be called that it must contain at least 12 differant types of greens , i work in restaurant and a chef so i have used them both

i like it,don,t use it in my restaurant though..its been over done..trend that lasted way to long..

usually contains any of/or..frissee(thats the funky curly one)baby red oak leaf,dandy-lion greens,arugula,endive, and maybe others too..also called mesclun mix..

Yes, especially the lettuce known as Frisee that's in it--it looks lacy and sort of tickles on the way down. I think there is also baby spinach in the "spring mix" that I get.I like to add raisins and walnuts to the salad mix and maybe cube up some sharp cheese like blue cheese or a sharp provolone and serve with a Caesar style dressing that I have thinned down a bit by adding about 1 TBL of Olive or Walnut oil to it. With fresh tomatoes starting to come in, some of those cut into wedges are great in this salad, as well. You could actually make that a nice summer supper with some nice crunchy Italian or French bread smeared with a nice soft Brie or Camembert on the side. Healthy and delicious--what more could you ask??
