  2. Winter waiting to pounce like the magnificent tiger. There is no escape from such creatures. Very Ku!

  3. i really like it. it's really good keep working on it.

  4. Haiku very fun,

    sometimes they don't make sense.

    Refrigerator.

Not my own, I must admit, but I find it funny. No, I love a haiku when it is done and done well. And this is excellent. Three lines of sheer poetry. Thanks, TD

  5. I do enjoy them, albeit only in small doses. I am not a fan of form poetry, so it is difficult to spend too much time with something that I can't help but hear, in my head, with an archaic voice.

I don't have a problem with haiku written in English, though it is a Japanese form. If I spoke Japanese, I think I would still enjoy a sestina, or sonnet. The language doesn't matter as much to me, just the feelings expressed and the resonance, or echo I feel.

I am little confused by the word "as" in this piece. I'm not sure if it should be "like" but that is so minor I don't think it matters too much. Good work and I look forward to reading more!

  6. according to all the rules, yes.

  7. Let's see, 5-7-5 and subject is that of nature or seasons.  No rhymes.

Looks like the definition I read of a haiku.

  8. Nah! They're all beautiful like snowflake and thought provoking haiku.

  9. Nice. It reminds me of last summer.

  10. The ONLY point in case I have to offer...and please accept this humble commenter's offering....is to substitute a word for winter...Mt. Fuji is a good 'winter' word...

    And, American Haiku have titles?

Good Morning! Trying to wake up! Good Ku...Ku good!
