I want to work on my drawing skills and I want to know if you think with practice I could actually do well.

Their not like long works, btw just quick drawings that I like but I want to improve.

Heres some pictures of my drawings...

  1. Good technical drawing, try different techniques and other objects or medias (eg. painting, collages, chalk

  2. Room for improvement, but that applies to everyone, even the most famous artists you've heard of.

    :)

On the first picture, the general shape is good. Did you work from a photo? I definitely recommend drawing from life as much as possible. It was done well, but I think you should look up some guides or tutorials that deal with depth and shadow. Maybe put a bit more shading?

On the second photo, I realize that it's stylized and I admit that I don't know where you are going here. Stylized is good when you do things on purpose, and it looks polished or good that way because the artist knows what they are doing outside of stylized work. Is the anatomy supposed to be similar to a humans, (the body)? I suggest studying anatomy for a bit. I do like the head though, I was drawn to the eyes and the design around them. :)

On the third picture, I definitely think it's good, much better then most people produce. Maybe lighten up the lines a bit. The shading on the bow and finger are good, maybe shade the rest of the picture as well? The hair is attached to the head, and shading the hair the right way, (you have the shape right) will make it look less like a wig. The pupils are focused on different areas.

I'm sorry if I was a bit too harsh, but realize that some of these things are very picky, and that your pictures are very lovely.

  3. try adding more detail and shading.

& keep going, everyone gets better with practise

  4. Hi!

    Very nice work!

Your proprotions are right. The outline is very good. Try working these:

    - Shadows

    - textures

    - colors

    Good luck!

  5. Looks pretty good, however on the bike i might try shading it now, but the line work you did on it is splendid. As for the face, i wouldnt use such harsh lines, lighten up a bit. Next you might want to try shading using just tone, no lines, as you should know there are no lines in nature/real life. To obtain a more accurate picture i would suggest using the grid method. Its done wonders for me. And or you could use a projector.

  6. you definatly have an eye as well as some skill to carry it out

    keep working

    practice makes perfect!

  7. They are good. Draw all the time that's will help you out a lot. Keep up the good work.
