Ok well my mom divorced my dad and now when my dad looks at me (he rarely does) I see in his face that he sees my mom instead of me. I'm only12. And I'm with my grandparents a lot because of him. My mom got better though, but when I try to tell him that he won't understand. Well here's the poem I wrote about it.

You always say Mom is to blame,

But don't you see? She's not the same!

Ever since she left you for him,

Your smile's been broken, your heart dim.

Why won't you look at me?

Is it Mom that you see?

Do I smile like her?

Do I look like my mother?

I know you are broken, I would be too.

But what if SHE said I looked just like YOU?

Why don't you see that Mom's gotten better?

She's back towho she was when you met her!

Either way, I'm Julia, who cares who I look like?

I'm YOUR Daughter, and You should Accept That!

It may not be that great cuz I wrote it in under 5 minutes. lol. What do ya think?
