Darkness

The depth of darkness in the night,

It's like a fairy tale,

waiting for magical creatures to come and rescue me,

as I lay in fear, pure terror,

awaiting to hear a voice,

images and thoughts from darkness,

make you contemplate.

The depth of darkness in the night,

It's like a fairy tale,

remember the past,

await the future,

pure terror of the present,

make you contemplate.

  1. interesting... but the first and second stanzas are too similar...

  2. You could also call this "Contemplation"  since "Darkness" is so obvious and the subject is mind imaginings that occur in the darkness before slumber.

I'd re-work the second stanza because it's such a duplication of the first and doesn't say anything new.  Write On!

  3. Not bad... what do you think of mine?

    From darkness we came,

    through darkness we go,

    toward darkness we maintain.

    Wherever we go

    there's never a glow

and in darkness we will remain.

    Take my hand

    together we'll stand

and in darkness we will grow.
