There are so many myspace pages out there with numerous graphics, backgrounds, music, videos, and other gadgets and widgets it makes the pages hard to read, longer to load, and just plain messy.

The simpler the better IMO.  Your page so far isn't to bad, except the background makes it hard to read the text.
