  1. I love them both but if I had to pick i would say english. I love hunt seat because its more of a challenge for me and I love to be challenged! I show english right now but next year I am showing hunt seat and western. I also love english because I love, love jumping! But one thing I hate about it is that your muscles  are in more pain. But english gave me a great posture!

  2. I prefer English.  I do show jumping and its awesome! When I was smaller I like western but then I tried English and I like it more.

  3. I prefer western. I used to ride but no horses right now:( miss it

  4. Welcome amowens3 new to Yahoo Answers today!

Riding style: English primarily, love to drive also.

Disciplines:Dressage, cross country, show jumping, drag- scent fox hunting, trails and does camping  in the mountains with horses count? such fun.

    Shows: yes!

Like doing  them? Almost always, though sometimes getting free time to drive is a hassle from work and farm. Just last week I stayed to watch a mare foal, she was such a special mom and the filly is wonderful! I also love Poker rides and fun runs, and watching western reining.

    How about you amowens3?

  5. i prefer english.  i do dressage and jumping, and i love it! hunt seat is also more of a challenge, and i love challenges(ecspecially on horses!)  i do ride western, but my new horse is more of an english horses. she looks like shes floating when she trotts! i love showing cause its fun, but i just dont like the fact that everyone is crazy, running around grab your # pay for your classess, get on your helmet, put on the bridle, ect!!! but in the end even if you lose  nothings better then spending time with your horse!

  6. English for 20 years since i was 5. its more diciplined (im not saying easier) and i think that theres more to learn. i have been showjumping ever since i remember and eventing since i was 12. i also used to love gymkana games when i was little and polo-crosse is so exciting to play. i did compete a little in western barrel racing for a year and really enjoyed it but preferred english. i love shows because its a chance to show off at what i am best at and when you win its an amazing feeling.  3 day eventing is what i generally do though 6-bar is amazing but quite rare in england and with friends i can never resist "chase me charlie". though i must say, my favourite thing is to get a few friends together and go for a long gallop though lakes and fields etc. a beautiful way to see the country and a good time to see whose fastest.
