Do you like shaking hands? Would you rather not?

Question

I don't mind shaking hads as much if it's the first time that I will meet a person. HOWEVER, time and time and time again, over and over again. This gets really gross. I hate it! I have tried conditioning people to back off and respect my wish to not be touched, but they don't back off. Despite the fact that they know I DO NOT want to shake hands with them, they come and try to force the issue. How do I deal with them? There's no way out, I will continue to meet with them for years n years to come. I just want them all to stop. How do you explain to about 100 ppl you don't want it, better yet how do you make them stop?

i dont like shaking hands i would rather fist pump..just start doing that and say its a germ thing..maybe people will get the hint

To my knowledge handshake is not our culture.  As per Indian tradition

we say namsakaram (different state will have different version).  If eleder we fall on feet and younger with folded hands we say hello.  

I don't why we have adopt handshake.  

Earlier days generally ladies will handshake with opposite s*x.  Now it has become common.  Nothing wrong for handshake Its only our mind set up.  If you take it easy ok otherwise follow the other method.  Its very simple.  No need to become tense for small issue.

I'm thinking, wow they touched me...hah.

But yeah, I don't know where their hand has been. I use hand sanitizer after handshakes and touching doorknobs.
