Sunday morning

By Cynthia S.

3 am Sunday morning,

house begins to shake

George and Gracie yowling

at sounds thunder makes.

Rain beats on the window

horizontally

cats tremble in distress,

get in bed with me.

Eventually we sleep

Gracie at my back

and George is next to Grace

safe from storm’s attack.

  1. Whoopee hides under the bed. She doesn't trust me during a storm.  Great poem.

  2. Aren't you the protector!  lol  GM to you.  I'll wager a "cat nap" is coming soon!

  3. Safe company at least, Long storm!

  4. "Good morning to you",

It's sunday night now. 1 hour and 2 min...left of sunday for me.

You sent the rain last night, may you do the same with this. The rain kind of came and went with your poem. It was a nice sunny day today though. Cold but nice.

I thought Gracie and grace were the children at first glace then read the rest, to notice they were kittens. How cute.  : )

    Cheers : )

  5. Teddy is a s**+ tsu, and he lays at the foot of the bed and growls at the thunder to keep it from us.  He is our protector.  We will put him on the bed and he growls a bit less, but he continues to protect us from the storm.
