Singapore is all about food. It is a national past-time.  The great collection of nationalities contribute to the variety, with Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Thai, Malaysian and many other cuisines represented, as well as a great variety of western restaurants and dishes.  The supposed truly Singaporean foods, such as chilli Stingray, fish head curry and a few other things have all been influenced from the historic migrant population.  If you don't mind spicy food you will love it, but it should be noted that a LOT of restaurants will warn westerners if the food they order is spicy.  A lot of restaurateurs seem to think that all westerners don't like spicy food!!!

Yes, I like it cause I'm Singaporean and my favorite is definitely Lor Mee, which is a braised pork with black soya sauce and noodles with other ingredients, like fish cake, char siew meat etc. Hainanese Chicken Rice is also a national food that I love too.
