Yes, I love it!  It's currently in my top 5, I think, though my top 5 keeps changing.  Let's see... Clara, Rosalind, Susanna, Miriam, Lydia... yep, still in the top 5, though Eloise is quickly creeping up the ranks of current favorites and may soon replace it.

I like the history behind the name.  Lydia was a biblical noblewoman who greatly assisted the apostle Paul.  Her name simply means "from the region called Lydia," but some baby name books now associate it with nobility.

Though Lydia Grace and Lydia Marie (as some have suggested) are quite pretty, Grace and Marie have become such common middle names.  Here are some less common middle name ideas:

Personally no, but that is only because I know a 65 yo with this name so I see it as out dated BUT my friend just named her little girl Lydia and they call her Lili or Lilli for short which is very cute.
