But is was Mary, Mary long before the fashions came,

and there is something there that sounds so square.

It's a grand old name!

Seriously, it's a wonderfully old-fashioned name. My maternal grandmother was named Mary after her paternal grandmother, and she named her oldest daughter, an aunt, Mary as well.
