I love it... I live near a little girl called priscilla.... pippa or pippy for short and I absolutely love it... I would've considered it for my little girl if I didn't have the connection to it already

Good lord, no. That's a cute name for a hamster or a kitten. Let's fast forward 25 years...your daughter is (hopefully) just out of college and looking for her first job. She's sending out her resume. And people are opening it, seeing the name "Pippa" and laughing their butts off. Resume goes straight to trash. Or maybe she does get hired. Can you imagine anyone taking a woman with the name "Pippa" seriously in a corporate board room or meeting? No. Please don't underestimate your daughter's potential or sell her short by giving her a name fit only for a hooker or a Pussycat Doll. She'll thank you for it.

I really like it. It's really sweet. It's also not very common so your daughter will have a nice, but unique, name too. Pippa is an English name, and means lover of horses: if I were you, I'd get the riding gear ready now. Lol.

In the end, though, it's about what YOU like and the name that you feel fits your child. Do what Bill Cosby suggests, and yell the name out your back door a few times and see what you think then. If it still sounds OK, then you'll know it's a good one!!

It's okay.  I'm not crazy about it.  I do like Phillipa better.  It would be cute to name her Phillipa and then call her "Pippa" when she's young.  I think when she's older, she'll appreciate having a more adult name for use in the academic and business world.

What matters most, though, is whether YOU like the name.  Pippa's not bad; it's just not my style.

I do like the name Pippa I also like the name Piper. I like real unique names, its so hard to pick out the perfect name when there is so many out there. I only have 5 more weeks and am still debating as well...here are some other unique names you may like :)
