  1. Im not sure. i bet it is a beautiful name in your country of origin, but might be kindof a wierd name to grow up with in the U.S. because plump means fat and it could lead to name calling. But if you live in your said culture it would probably be fine

  2. I think thats sweet but just beware of consequences it could bring to your child.

i am not saying choose a common name for her because its always good to be unique and stand out of the crowd, but you should consider a name that may be more popular but unique.

i hope everything goes well for the both of you

  3. No, because children would make fun of her as "plump" or call her "plumpy" or bad rhymes like "plumpy dumpy".

  4. well i think in the U.S. at least it will get her teased, especially if she is on the heavy side

EDIT: couldn't find Plumpetta but Plumpette according to the Urban Dictionary means: A plump or fat girl.

ladies and gentlemen i think we have a troll!

  5. gross- how about Fatsy-Patsy instead

  6. don't do it. Children can be very mean. She will be called all kinds of name. Will Cry a lot. You don't want that for your child do you?

  7. To tell the truth, she would be made fun of in school "plump" means "big", or "fat". It sucks how people make fun of things like that.

But honestly, absolutly everyone with think of the plump part >_<

  8. I don't really. In my culture the word "plump" means a bit overweight and fat.    =]

  9. It must be a good name because you know what you're talking about, your a top contributor!

  10. No.  .   .  It sounds like it belongs on a parakeet or gerbil.  But a human being?!   I think she'd curse you for the rest of YOUR life!

  11. If your culture doesn't have internat how are you posting this question? Also, plumpetta fatette seems to go together.

  12. no i don't. like everybody says, it makes her seem overweight. try staline. (stay-leen)

hey i just realized it has the sound "lean" in it. this one's better it promotes a healthy weight! hahaha.

  13. I imagine the pronunciation is "Plum-petta" but seeing it in writing may cause people to pronounce it  "plump-etta" - whuich may cause all sorts of awful nicknames, I think.

  14. i  do not personally like tht name. in america, it is not very common and not very subtle. and too big of a name for ANYONE.

  15. Only name the child that if you live in said culture. In other countries it may lead to some name calling

  16. "Plumpy" for short - what an adorable nickname!

  17. no! she will grow up and become overweight.

It makes her sound like she sits on her couch all day watching soap operas and eating mayo straight out of the jar!

  18. Not at all. Sorry, but that sounds like a fat kid and makes me think of the girl who turned into the blueberry on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Find another name.

  19. Awww...that is heartwarming Slappy. So pretty! Little Plumpetta .

How about Plumpetta Chunquie or Plumpetta Fatassa? Absolutely beautiful name combos for any little princess. She'll adore this name, especially as she goes into those jr.high years. It's a name that is larger than life!

  20. That is the stupidest name I have heard, you are going to make the baby feel inconfident.Because just like LoraLee said it sounds FAT!

  21. If you ask me, if it is a common name in your culture then fine, but just realize when this girl grows up and becomes an adult she has to live with that name

  22. oh h**l no, don't ever name your child that, it sounds too weighty, like a child that's fat or something, pls don't go there!!!

  23. The meaning of it is adorable however the main syllable in it is "plump"  which makes people automatically think of fat, chunky, overly large etc.  So I know that NO where in america would any poor girl want to be named plumpetta, and even in your culture you may want to reconsider.  A girls name should have a pretty sound when you say it, and make you think of things that are petite, fragile, beautiful, sweet etc

  24. don't do that!   tongue twister!  your girl will hate you....when she starts school.   What's the matter with you?   Pick out a name she will really love!     This girl is not a pet!   she is a  human being!   Come on mannnnnnnnnnn!!~~~~~~~get real!

  25. I would lean more towards Morbidlyobesearina.

  26. Not in my culture. That's crazy, the kids in school would deem the child the fat kid.

  27. No how sad if you do name her that......sounds like a fat person name.........and she will hate you for it and suffer through school with a name like that.....that name is guaranteed to cause her to be teased all through school years till she is old enough to change that ridiculous name she was given.

  28. h**l no - can you imagine the number of names she will be abused with at school by the age of 18 - only way to counter it would be all the bullies fancied her

  29. in your culture/country, it may be a beautiful name, but here, in america, your daughter would surely be teased for it. they would call her 'plumpy' and i dont think anyone would want to be called plumpy. personally, i dont like the name either.

  30. Sounds like a fat joke...

    I wouldn't reccomend it.

Unless you want people calling your child "plumpy" for short or having her depressed throughout high-school actually causing her to be overweight making the torrment worse!

  31. I don't really like it. The PLUMP part in Plumpetta makes a person think that she might be plump (fat). Sorry. Good luck!
