Pronounced shyla, do you think its a pretty, cute name etc? if so why?

It sounds alright, I wouldn't spell it Shaila though because when I first read it I thought it was 'Shayla'

Not so much...it looks like it's spelled funny.  Don't spell your child's name funny...she will have to live with the name for a lifetime.  It's a baby, not a pet cat.

I don't just because i read a book with that name and i hated that character.  Also it just doesn't sound like a  good name to me.

I think that that is a beautiful name. It is uniue and interesting, without being stupid or in your face.
