Do you like the name Sophia Gallette?

omg you guys read my mind i think of the razor when i hear it, too, as much as i love my cousin! (i don't know if everyone understood my pronounciation, gallette is pronounced like the razor except with a G like the one in "go") She is pretty admant about it though, so any suggestions probably won't get used :( (i liked vail, too, though!)

Sophia is an okay name but I truly think the pronounciation of Gallette is horrid!  Sophia Vail would be soooo much more feminine and flows so much better.  Nice tribute, but I hope she reconsiders.

sorry but i love sophia, but i dont care for gallette....my first thought was gillette razors.  :(   sophia gail or sophia violet is pretty   i like sophia gail better.......

Sophia is gorgeous, but it has become extremely common recently.  That makes me shy away from the possibility of using it.  If your cousin doesn't mind popular names, though, then it's not a problem.  She should just be aware that her daughter will sometimes have to go by Sophia D. or Sophia L. or whatever her last initial will be.

I don't like the middle name she has chosen.  It reminds me of gall bladders and Gillette razors.  If she wants to combine them, I think Sophia Vail or Sophia Vale would be pretty.  Vale is a very uncommon nature name -- it's an old English word for valley.

My favorite name of all the ones you've mentioned is Violet.  If I were in your cousin's place, I would use Violet as my daughter's first name.  It's sweet, botanical, and not very common.  Gail is incredibly old-fashioned, but it could be pretty as a middle name.  Violet Gail wouldn't be a bad combination.

Since it seems like your cousin likes the idea of using family names, why don't you list some of the male names on both sides of the baby's family tree (father, grandfathers, etc.), with their middle names if possible, and I'll try to come up with some combinations for you!

I love the name sophia but maybe just decide on one name( violet or gail) i dont think the name gallette sounds very good with sophia. i prefer sophia violet. 2 cute boys names are collin or joel.
