No, Ive met a blaine and he was a huge brat. I think it must be something with that name, but all of them seem to turn out as brats

I like Blaine for a boy. Its a boys name so I hate it for a girl.

No. Specifically, that name shows the inability to spell words correctly, and a lack of understanding the rules of the english alphabet and phonetics.   So broaden the topic a little, and what you will find is a stigma, that comes with a silly name like that.   Example... and statistically factual at the same time, see below

Blayne > parents have little education > they have little education>most likely from a bad nieghborhood> most likely a predominantly black neighborhood, or a trailer park> more often subjected to drugs, alcohol, abuse, poverty, teen pregnancy, crime,... and the vicious cycle continues.

So what you get a is a predjudice towards someone with that kind of name, because more often than not, it can speak volumes about them, their past, and possibly their future.

I know a kid named Blaine and he's a brat.  I think Blaine/Blayne is a very dorky name.

No. Have you ever seen Pretty In Pink? The "heart throb" of that movie is a rich kid named Blane - and the heroine's best friend makes a point of teasing her about her crush on a guy with such a name. I'll never forget that. It IS a rather pansy name, in my opinion.
