Question

Tyla for a girl? It's like a female version of Tyler and I think it's really cute, not to mention unique. Any opinions on it?

I'm asking for a story character. Ha :)

i know a little girl named Tyler & that's how she spells it -- the traditional way. IMO, "Tyla" sounds a little ghetto. sorry. However, the English "Twyla" is pretty.

Well, I don't particularlr like it. I tend to fall for longer names. It put me in mind of a guy at first. It doesn't really have a femine ring to it. But if the character in the story you're writing is a tom-boy, I guess its suiting.

yes, i do like this name but i like it better if it was pronounced Teela. like Tila Tequila, and tyla sounds like some kind of slang of Tyler. It's a cute name but I like it better pronounced Tila. Tyla is a lot better for a story character than a real child name, i dont know why but to me it is better ina story. I like it, you should really go for it!
