Personally I don't care for it but I do like the common nickname Evie (rhymes with Heavy). I know a lot of ladies who name their babies Evelyn and call them Evie but I think the nick would make a good name. All of the Evelyns I know are about 80 or 90 years old. It's up to you though... there's nothing wrong with the name, just personal preference! Congrats.

I think it's old fashion, but very pretty.  "Eve" and "Lynn" are fairly popular, and this is just a combination of the two.  You could call her "Evie" (pronounced E-vee or Ev-ee).  It's very feminine, which I like for girl names.

I think it's a bit old fashioned as of late...but could be really lovely is modernized...or modified even. Something like:
