  1. They both are hard and easy at the same time. With the old one, you could be so good and build up a 400 plus points lead, then you could have like 6 DNF's, 1 top 15, and 3 finishes of 30th or worse for the last 10 races and still get the championship. With the Chase, the beginning is when you lay back and it's easy. Just make sure you maintain in the Top 12. The last 10 races is when you start acting, which is the harder part.

Fans complain that Gordon should have won the 2007 championship, which he should have been. But if the 24 team can't adjust to the Chase, it's on them.

    I like the Chase better.

  2. i like the old one because its not fare with 10 races to go to erase someones 300 point lead, they worked hard all season for that lead and when the last 10 races come around the second place is guy is right behind them or they might not even be in first anymore and someone who could be 500 points behind could have a really good run and be the champion thats not right thats like the nfl letting the last place team in the playoffs and they end up winning the super bowl

  3. old there was more of a chance for an upset but in the new points is 4th place was 400 points behind at 10 races left he would be 15 pts back

  4. old one much better, I do not like the reset and let em go format we have now

  5. Old. Season long consistency has always been the idea in racing for the championship. That's why we don't have a superbowl race or a world series. Actually I guess we have a 10 race world series. Which sucks because even good teams can have a few bad races. So now it's more dependent on luck as far as who wins the cup, because of the timing of a teams really good or really bad races. I realize luck plays a part in lots of individual races but it seems to even out over the course of a season. I'd much rather have the best team all season win the cup, than to crown the luckiest team champions.
