Eh, not really.  Jo is adorable for a little girl, and Ann or Anna are great for Joanna...Annie too.

I don't really like it. My best friend is named Joanna and she either goes by "Jo" or simply... "J"

her boyfriend calls her "Jo baby" lol (pronounced JOE)

I really like the name & spelling of Joanna.. (I don't really like JoAnna, JoAnne, etc) anyway, good luck~ you can call her what you want!

Honestly I'd rather use Jo for short Joanna is a really pretty name but if you like the nickname Joa then go for it.

Hate it...just perfect on its own as Joanna, otherwise, Jo is cute too
