Because it might make me the biggest geeky loser ever, but I love them! I think they're so funny and Elvis looks so adorable in them. I collect them...

Which one is your favorite?

  1. yes, especially one from 1969 called a Change of Habit, and one from 1964 called Tickle Me, and Follow that dream, and Jailhouse rock

  2. I like Blue Hawaii...it has lovely songs :)

  3. Elvis movies are much better than many people realize. They are for the most part great examples of 1950´s and early to mid 60's popular movies. Films like Jailhouse Rock, King Creole, GI Blues, Blue Hawaii, Fun in Acapulco, Viva Las Vegas, Roustabout and Tickle Me are very pleasant to watch. However there are still a few gems that deserve to be rediscovered, Flaming Star, Follow that Dream, Kid Galahad, Live a Little, Love a Little, The Trouble with Girls and Change of Habit are much more interesting than Spinout or Clambake.

  4. Yes. I love "Viva Las Vegas" with Elvis and Ann Margaret. You can tell from their onscreen chemistry that something was going on offscreen too. LOVE IT>

  5. yeah i love them im a huge elvis fan :) i have heaps of his movies on dvd my fave is clambake

  6. For the most part, I like the movies Elvis was in before he was drafted, and for the most part I do not like "G.I. Blues" or the films Elvis was in after he was released from the Army. "Flaming Star" is something of an exception since he was trying to prove that he could act with that film and I give him points for trying to make a stretch even if he couldn't quite pull it off. There is nothing really objectionable about most of Elvis' movies, but they are mostly written to a formula and there is a sameness to the post-military film that becomes numbing after you see a few of them. In small doses, Elvis movies aren't bad, but I wouldn't be able to handle a marathon of post-Army Elvis movies.

It is a pity that Presley wasn't given better scripts and directors, because he did have screen presence and he had a flair for comedy. With a good and caring director to help him and a decent script to work from, Elvis probably could have carried off a meaty dramatic role.

  7. Sure, though I haven't really seen 'em! Hahaha, but I am very open to them. :)
