Question:

Do you like the "smart" key system; why?

I have it on my Nissan and the biggest reason for me to love this system is that I use crutches most of the time and with the smart transponder in my purse or pocket I don't have to balance on on leg while fumbling around for a key. Just press the button and open the door. What is yours?

  1. The Smartkey System in my 2007 Prius goes one better.  I don't have to press any buttons at all--  As long as I have the key in my pocket, I just have to touch the door handle (which has a touch sensor) and it will automatically unlock for me.  No need to insert the key into the dash either to drive the car.  Really cool stuff.  :D

  2. I have been on crutches for over a year and one thing that I despised was digging for car keys.  I have smart key on my new Altima and love it.  The power seat makes it a lot easier getting in and out with a full leg cast as well, just move the seat all the way back. I know that getting in and out is not a problem for you, but agree with you about the key.  Email me if you want.
