heck yeah!!!!

yesterday, i was at a soccer tournament and there was a severe storm warning. and i was going up to my teammates saying "doesn't that look like a funnel cloud?? wouldn't that be awesome??" yes, i'm weird like that. it'd be so much fun being a tornado chaser. but i'd probably chicken out. so anyway, we had to sit in our cars while the storm passed and there was some intense lightning/thunder/rain/hail. everyone else was like "ugggggggh" and i'm just sitting there smiling and saying "oooooooh!" every few seconds.

I love it!

As for the lightning, which is what you really should be afraid of, I have the utmost respect for!  If you hear thunder, the lightning MISSED!

I only got concerned ONCE!  Lightning struck about 100 yards from me while sitting on my front porch......the thunder sounded like someone snapped a 2X4 lumber! -- Again, after about 30 seconds, I realized that I heard the thunder and therefore the lightning missed!

I love them! They're so powerful and completely uncontrollable. During a bad storm, you really get the feeling you're completely at the mercy of Mother Nature, and it reminds us of how vulnerable we humans really are.

As long as you keep safe during a storm, ie. indoors, then they're fantastic to watch. Unfortunately, we don't get any great storms over here in the UK, but my dad lives in Greece and has some incredible storms...like the world's about to end!
