Do you like these announcements?

I'm 15w 2d pregnant and have told my immediate family, a few friends and co-workers but haven't exactly gotten around to telling my grandparents, aunts, and uncle yet. I wanted to do something to break the ice before talking to them because I'm nervous about their reactions so I came up with this idea:

I made up invitations for a birthday party. The front of the card says "You're Invited!" The inside of the card says "We're Celebrating a Birthday" and the details of the party list my new phone number with the date as "on or about February 16, 2009," with the details of the party stating, "SURPRISE! We invite you to our new baby's birth day. We hope you are as excited as we are about the new addition to our family!"

What do you think? We wanted something creative and surprising to let them know about our news!

well its a cute idea.. but when i just read it.. they might think there really is a birthday or something to come to..it could confuse the older people.
