Do you like these dresses?

I'm having a hard time choosing! We're having a semi-small (around 80 people) wedding ceremony. And then we're having a cocktail reception. Yes, I will be having two different dresses because I don't see myself walking around a cocktail reception in a puffy dress! I can't decide between a slim long dress or a short cute dress! Help!

Oh, one more question! Would this dress be weird (the train part) for the reception? Do you like the dress in general?

So, out of those which one is your favorite?

  1. i think you should choose the last one for you actual walking dress, and either the 1 or second for the reception.

if you plan on dancing alot then id go for the second for your reception

but i like all of them!

  2. I'd rule out the third one simply because the train would be a pain.  Which leaves me with the 1st and 2nd...they are both very nice.  I guess it's up to you to decide if you want your legs exposed or not.  Personally, I think the 1st one is cutesy and the second one more classy.  What feeling do you want?

  3. The first dress is really lovely and very elegant looking.

  4. i really like the 2nd

  5. I LOVE the first dress... it is gorgeous.  I also really like the third  dress.  Do any other these dresses have anything in common with your actual ceremony dress?  Perhaps you should keep them looking somewhat similar.

  6. I love the 2nd dress (alvina) its beautiful, definitely my favorite of the three.  I don't love the last dress, but if that your style then go for it!

  7. I love the second one, and personally I think it would be suitable for both the reception and ceremony. I don't see the need to have 2 dresses when it's only one day, and you already have spent enough money on other things. The 2nd dress is gorgeous and I think it would be ideal for your situation. Good luck and hope your big day goes perfect.

  8. The third one is cute, but would restrict walking, I would think.

Otherwise, the first link (def. not the second, lol, maybe as a nightgown).

  9. Hi and congratulations!

Wow...you have lots of different looks.  Hmmmm....you said you don't want to walk around a cocktail reception in a puffy dress, but then the last one with train, to me, seems like a pain.

I DO like the last one, so if you want it, I would wear it for both the ceremony and the reception, but, again, the train would bother me.

And the second one....again, it would work for both the ceremony and the reception, in my opinion.

If you have another dress in mind for the ceremony, then I would go with the first one for the reception (the short one.)

  10. Congratulations!

It honestly depends on how you want to look like.

the first dress would make you look feminine and charming in a cute and s**y way.

the 2nd is also s**y, although it's make you look more mature, elegant, and sophisticated.

I'd presonally preffer the 2nd, but the first is also VERY beautiful.

  11. I would go with the first dress. If you're going to be changing out of your ceremony dress into something less flouncy, the other two are still pretty flouncy.

  12. the 2nd dress is the best dress EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. The 1st is GEORGUS.

  14. personally i like the second one the best.  I'm not a fan of short wedding dresses But the first would be very cute for a springtime wedding.

  15. I like the second one

  16. the 1st dress for sure!!! The last dress is my least fav.  I don't think you will be able to move all tha well in it!

  17. The 2nd one is gorgeous; if it were me and those were my choices, it would be my pick. I didn't like the first one at all and the third one was also very pretty but seemed to fussy for what you seem to be looking for. I wore a second dress at my reception and got a few looks for it but it was so worth it. Good luck!

  18. i LOVE the alvina one. The first one is a bit too showy (unless thats what your going for). As far as the 3rd one i dont really like the pattern too much.  Good luck and have fun!

  19. they are both gorgeous! a long slim dress would look very elegant, but the shorter dress may be easier to dance in and move around in. it really comes down to what you feel more comfortable in.

  20. To be honest none of them...but it;s your day so you have to like it.

  21. 1.  Cute - but I don't really see this as a wedding dress.  I know it is only the reception - but are you expecting your guests to change clothes too?  If you are then this may be ok - but I would never change clothes between a wedding and a reception and if the bride changed so drastically (between a full length gown and a short fun dress) then I would feel kind of awkward.

    2.  Wow - what a stunning dress.  I think this would be perfect for what you have described.  I just love this dress!  I definately would pick this one as it is still 'formal' but not so weird as a 'puffy' dress for a cocktail reception!

    3.  While I absolutely love this dress and personally think you could easily wear this to your reception - I think the fact that you have said you don't want a puffy dress should probably cancel out this dress too because of the train.  The train does make it more formal - and remember that people will be walking on it all the time.  (Trust me - I wear formal dresses with trains all the time and people are forever walking on the trains)  I do love this dress - but if I have to choose from all three it would still have to #2.

P.S.  Both 2 and 3 would be ideal dresses for both a ceremony and reception - no matter how formal or casual either is.  (Just my opinion)
