River Jonas and Demi Kate

[the boy's first name is after my favorite actor-and the reason I'll never do drugs-, River Phoenix]

Those are fun names to think of for now.  I personally wouldn't name my child those names, but to each her own! You should write the names down in your journal and then look at them again when you're older.  I did that and looked back and couldn't believe some of the names I liked back then! It was funny!

River Pheonix's story is so sad.  And Stand By Me is such a good movie...

I think they're both pretty nice.  I kind of think Jonas River would sound better, but if you like it like that, that's all that matters.  I think Demi Kate is really cute.

When naming babies it is very easy to forget that time passes and situations change.

In twenty years time, no one will remember River and Demi. Any child named after them now would grow up thinking that their parents who gave them these names must have been mad.

The hard part about naming babies is finding names that will last, and will not be an embarrassment to them when they grow up.

Demi Kate is tolerable, but it kind of sounds like defecate. And River Jonas sounds like ... well...it just sounds stupid.
