Gaston Gargoyle on my shelf.

staring at the cats

a very funny sight,

awakening from night.

Grace meows demands, GET DOWN!

want to see you clear.

George is quite unsure

are his intentions pure?

I bring poor Gaston off the shelf

chuckles all the way,

wary kitties sniff,

now I wonder if…

Gaston takes another trip,

to the china closet…

gargoyle protection

is my selection!

For me, it's the lifelike cobra and a dog but the phenomenon is much the same.  That snake so distracts my dog that I've had to hide the ersatz serpent, though if I thought about it I probably should have honored the snake: I've never had to feed him and his vet bills fit my budget.  Thanks for a slice of life...

Loved it - it brought a big smile to my face....what more can I ask on a dismal, rainy Sunday morning?

I am surrounded by teddy bears, each with their own personality (though they are nameless) - there is no hope for me, I will never be a grown-up - and it strikes me, neither will you!
