Do you like this idea for a tattoo?

My wife wants to get another tattoo signifying that she'll always protect our daughter. She wants her name surrounded by angel's wings. Do you like that? If not what would you suggest to signify her always protecting our daughter?

How about a pair of hands holding your daughters name or her portrait. I like the angels wings too.

The question is does your wife like it? It's her tattoo and it shouldn't matter if anyone else likes the idea she has to live with it on her body. She could go to an artist and tell them what she is looking for and they might have a few other ideas for her.

I like the though/meaning behind it

but strictly tattoo wise, it's very common

and I like unique tattoos

so I'm not a huge fan of the idea

again.....great concept

but if it was me or my girlfriend (possibly wife/baby's mother some day)

I would want it to be more original

That depends on what she signifies as protecting her. A tattoo is something that should be very meaningful to whoever is getting it. To your wife that means she is protecting her but to someone else it could mean something completely different.

I would let her pick out what she likes and not worry about what anyone else thinks, remember...it's on her forever not anyone else.

flowers being very feminine are always nice the idea is quite common (not unique not the pikey version) - i have seen these and think there is too much going on, if it is for mother and daughter they should pick together and draw their own thing.......also if i saw that i would think the person inbetween the wings was dead!

Oh that's beautiful. I'm near tears. It would also be awesome for daughters face and name to be tattooed including being surrounded by angel's wings. Maybe even here name with wings and a circle of angels flying around it. Have her name in fancy writing as well, but readable.

I'm going through Tatoo removal. Unbelievably painful, and its on 3 tatoos. Your wives sheer presence is enough protection....tell her spend her money on your daughter rather than wasted ink. Names and Tatoos are usually cheap looking, your wife sounds like a lady....tell her buy herself a nice handbag, or treat your daughter instead.
