The name is Wilder. I recently heard it used for a friend of my family. I like it actually. It seems to follow the recent trend of using surnames for first names.

If you do like it which spelling do you prefer: Wilder or Wylder?

  2. Im not sure I like it a whole lot but wilder is better than wylder

  3. i really like the same its very cute and my favorite spelling is Wylder

  4. Be careful.

I knew a kid once named Demón ("Desmond").

    It suited him well.

  5. It's not bad. I would go with Wilder. Wylder looks awful. It reminds me of Wylers like the brand.

  6. I'm not a big fan, but you know what.. it's your baby and you should name him whatever you want.. I like it spelt Wylder better. Good Luck & Congrats. xo

  7. Sounds like a surname, and it reminds me of Almonzo Wilder.

But if you're going to use it, use Wilder. Wylder looks horrid.

  8. It is not too bad.. I would use the "i" .... Congrats on the baby..

  9. i dont like it.. sorry

  10. I don't like it.

Hunter is a similar name...I think that's cute.

    ~Julie

  11. I also like the name Hunter better. I wouldn't go with Wilder.

  12. No, I don't like it. I can see the teasing now... "Wilder than what?" Wylder looks even worse.

  13. sorry but I do not care for it!

  14. I think it's a bit out there, but if it's a family name, it works. I would spell it however it's spelled in the family, athough I highly prefer Wilder.

  15. Nice! Really masculine. Some others you might like:

    Tucker

    Hunter

    Sawyer

    Walker

  16. No sorry not a good name for him I agree with julie hunters similar and a cute name :)

  17. No, I don't like it. My favourite name for a Boy is Tyreese.  Favourite name for a girl is Freya.

  18. i like it, i thik its cute!

  19. It definately has something...and I like Wilder (not Wylder). It is German and means 'hunter'. It does sound like a hunter's name -- kind of danerous but strong and courageous!

  20. Eck.  No.  No, please!  Leave that one as a last name.  Why would you name your child wild?

  21. I dont really like it. I agree with everyone who said Hunter.

  22. sorry, but i don't really like it

  23. Nope

  24. I think it is cute, it's your choice.  My son has a very uncommon name, Selassie Iyah, and we are expecting our second child (who will be named Mosiah) in January.  EVERYONE names there child HUNTER.  I want my children to be the only children with there name, not sitting among the 10 other children in the room with the same name.  So it is totally up to you, and uncommon different names are more in style than ever.  So, be creative and trust your own judgment.

  25. The boy's name Wilder is of German origin, and its meaning is "hunter". Occupational name for someone who traps or kills wild animals. Playwrights Thornton Wilder, Oscar Wilde.

i like it,  its different,  go for wilder as the spelling =]

  26. Not really sorry. Maybe as a middle name.

  27. no
