seems better... the other rug is giving the look of being machine made which detrimental to the value of any rug. The price also seems good at USD 8 per square foot... however do check whether it is hand knotted or hand tufted....and is it made in india, china or nepal....if its chinese...then price is too high... and if its indian knotted then price is just about acceptable...

I love the first one; it has a great mix of colors and the pattern is very interesting, very textural, and has a lot of depth to the pattern.  Love it!

I like the second one okay, it has a more casual feel and not as interesting as the first rug.  This type of pattern is more common in knock offs than the first rug.  Love Pottery Barn rugs, just bought one last month myself and the quality is outstanding.
