Do you like to eat ... 'banana'??

... as part of your post workout carbs?

i know glucose would be better (dextrin malodextrin whatever) but a banana? i've heard its good carbs, not the best but good... why exactly?

high GI index?

  1. Yes, I have bananas post-workout.  They are good because they are simple carbohydrates.  

    When you workout your glycogen levels have been depleted, and you should have a simple carbohydrate to replenish them.  

    Bananas actually have a low glycemic index of 54.

    also,bananas have potassium which is very good for muscles!

  4. I don't like to eat "banana" if that's what you mean.  

  5. I put a banana in my protein shake post workout..mainly to help replace potassium.
