  5. I love dim sum so much...  It's a three-way tie for my favorite kind.  Beef tripe in ginger sauce is awesome; I love the chewy texture.  Deep-fried taro puffs- they are delicious and crunchy, and go so well with plum sauce!  BBQ pork buns (the sticky kind, not the actual bread kind) make me thankful that I have taste buds; when they are hot, they are guaranteed to please.  Also, I really like preserved egg congee.  Definitely worth a trip to Chinatown.

  6. I like the shrimp dumplings (har gow), shiu mai, shrimp rolls, turnip cakes, sesame balls, shrimp toast, chinese brocolli, egg custards, chive dumplings, sweet rice wrapped in lotus leaf, and BBQ pork buns (steamed and baked).  Oh, and the congee too.  Pretty much everything except the mango pudding.

My absolute favorite thing is called dou fu fa (sp?), the silky tofu in sweet syrup.  Yo!

  7. always order the hakao. i like dimsums but i always go for the hakao. i won't tell you what a hakao is. you have to find it out yourself. it is how your magical taste journey begins! dont ask a question here about what a hakao is. you'll only cheat yourself. now, if your local chinese restaurant doesn't have hakao, then you're not really eating at a chinese restaurant.
