  1. I am definitely a xenophile. I have Russian,Sudanese, Lao, Hmong, Mien, Cambodian, Pinoy, Desi Indian, FOB Indian, Dominican, Dominican, Puerto Rican, Ghanian, Gambian,Tongan and Eskimo friends and relatives. I live in a small but diverse city. I love the food and traditional celebrations of each culture.

  2. Very much so, current day and historical.  It's wonderful that no matter how different a culture is from our own, the more you are familiar with the people, the more similarities there are. And you see that all people are different, that humans are full of so much variety, but that we are all similar as well, and no matter how unusual elements of a culture might be, it's easy to see that if any one of us were brought up there, it would seem totally ordinary to us:)

  3. I have always loved to learn about other cultures and what makes us different and how we are the same. It goes along with my love for travel also I suppose. Luckily while in the Navy, I lived around the world and got the opportunity to meet many different cultures.

  4. & ??? What ?

  5. i do.its often an eye-opener.

  6. i luv it and i prefer to live around a ton of  cultures i dont know what i would do with out variety?

  7. Yes definitely.  It's interesting to see how other cultures live and their traditions etc

  8. I've never really went out of my way before to try & learn about other ethnic group's or other nation's cultures.  But I'm a young American soldier, & I'm getting stationed in South Korea for 1 year.  I think while I'm in Korea I'll try to learn something about the Korean people & their culture.

  9. i really do, i think that some cultures are so interesting - even if i dnt agree with some aspects of them. i think that buddism and hinduism are especially interesting. i live in northern ireland and there is still alot of tension about religion here (protestant/ catholic conflict) so i love finding out about other cultures and religions as well as traditional irish beleifs and culture which is actually really interesting too.

    good question!
