My opinion: It looks uneducated to spell names "wrong". But it's okay to look uneducated, if that's what you're into.

  1. Uncommon; that way if you choose a common name you can still make it unique

  2. whatever way looks the coolest!

  3. I like traditional, common spellings.

  4. it depends on the name.  Some names look better with the traditional spelling, and other look better with a unique spelling.

  5. uncommon

  6. For traditional names - common for sure - there's no reason for spelling it the "wrong" way. I can't stand seeing Ginnifer (Jennifer),  Emmaleigh (Emily), Vyktorya (Victoria), Nykole (Nicole).

  7. Common. With certain names maybe a one letter change, but I'm not in to spelling common names COMPLETELY different. I think it's mean; your kid will have to spell his/her name out for the rest of it's life. And just imagine if the last name is a hard one, too!

  8. Common.

  9. i do not mind either way.i think when you spell it uncommon all you do is give a common name something unique and cute!i like names how they sound example my daughters name is madisin because i do not say it madison.. and i think it sounds stupid said that way.

i think the fact that people find it "uneducated" just makes them uneducated why don't you try not being close minded, judgmental and ignorant.it is this simple if you do not like different spellings spell your kids name the most common way you can find..leave people alone who like different spellings as long as it is readable who the f*ck cares..

  10. common.  I don't like very unusual spellings much

  11. Common, that way most people will generally know how to spell my childs name and my child and I will not be doomed to a life of constantly having to spell their name over and over and over again.

  12. Uncommon, I dont like common names

  13. I think it looks like you don't know how to spell. I prefer spelling things the right way.

  14. I agree with you. Misspelled names look down-market and dumb. I wouldn't want to make life more difficult for my kid by forcing them to spell out their name for people all the time.

  15. As long as it's not to weird, it's okay to spell things a little differently.

  16. uncommon!

  17. UNCOMMON!! duh

LIKE C MEANS COMMON AND U MEANS UNCOMM0N

    U HAYLEY C HALEY

    U AMBURE C AMBER

  18. I love common names with common spellings. Don't make the child go through life always having to spell their name for people. My daughters have common names as will my son when he is born in the coming weeks.

  19. uncommom!

    For example...

    Kyle

    Kile

    Kaleb

    Kalub

    Calub

    Kaylee

    Caylee

    Ashley

    Ashlee

    Ashleigh

    And so mnay more!

  20. I like uncommon because they look cooler.

  21. Common.  If it's uncommon they are probably going to have to correct people all the time and that would get old after awhile.

  22. Depends on the name.

  23. I like common spellings. I think it makes the parents look ignorant when they spell them "creatively".

  24. I like uncommon ways of spelling

  25. Common

  26. it depends but i seem to like the uncommon ways for the commom names like bayleigh.

  27. Honestly, I too feel it looks as though the speller is uneducated when they cannot even spell a simple name.

BUT - there are some exceptions.  When you are spelling phonetically, some names simply do not come out spelled "correctly".

    Examples -

Tiffany is not pronounced tif-fah-nee, it's tiff-nee, so spelling it Tiffiny isn't exactly "wrong".

Michaela (mih-kay-luh) definitely looks much better spelled correctly, but if spelled out as it sounds, Mikayla seems more "correct".

However going overboard just to be different is too much. JMO

    Blessings

  28. hehe, i agree

    COMMON

  29. Common spellings.

i agree that it looks uneducated - or at least like you're trying to hard - when people spell names "creatively"
