If so, who is your favorite Ice Skater?

not particularly, i mean, it makes me all jealous 'cause i'm not exactally the best figure skater..

Just kidding, well, i do suck, but it's a beautiful sport and watching it does help me with my skating... i just have no talent for the sport what so ever..

My favorite skater is probably Michelle Kwan (well known, i know..) she is truly amazing, and i've been watching her skate for as long as I can remember...

I love to watch ice skating because ice skating is my hobby. My favorite skater is Kimmie Meissner because she's a great skater. Someday, I hope to be like her.

Omg I love it!! I am watching Smuckers Stars on Ice right now! Sasha Cohen is my favorite skater....I saw her skate at the Smuckers Stars on Ice event in Lake Placid back in November. I actually got her autograph!!!

Yeah though I am losing interest in watching Ladies. I mostly only watch the event because of Yu-Na Kim who is an amazing skater both technically and artistically. Not too crazy about her LP this year, but she is so talented that she still entertains despite the somewhat sluggish music.

Stephane Lambiel's LP is awesome (though I'm crossing my fingers hoping he will deliver a clean program in Europeans or Worlds this year) and I hope to see Joubert recovered from his illness in Europeans. Though I find the music Lysacek chose to be too predictable and not suiting for his personality (I mean good lord, Tosca has been SO overdone!), I like the little tidbits he puts here and there to boost up the points like his left-handed Walley before his Triple Lutz. His quad at the Gran Prix finals LP was awesome and so unexpected. Weir's skating has improved ever since he left the US and his LP skate at the Gran Prix final was accepable; however he still has yet to do a clean routine in the really big gun comps (not countring the Gran Prix or the US Nats where he has already proven me wrong).

I love watching Pairs, but the Zhangs LP this year is just flat on choreography, Pang & Tong look inconsistant and the Germans while technically a good team, I hate their LP. Why in the h**l did they choose such bad selections of Circ du Soleil music when there's so many better pieces to choose from I don't know.

Ice Dancing after men is probably the second best event to watch for me. The quality in most teams shown on tv is really good and they actually choose good music (however Belbin & Agosto look really strange with their LP music.. it just doesn't suit them at all).

Hrm.. favorite skater... I'll go oldschool and choose Laurence Owen (if anyone besides me has even heard of her). Nobody beats d**k Button on the flying sit and nobody beats Tatiana Malinina in the Triple Lutz or Flying Camel. While Sokolova's skating has become worse and worse each year (I don't see her coming back again), I love her Death drop. Alexei Yagudin was a fenomenal skater.

I like it that John Curry was capable of doing figures both lefty and righty (VERY hard to do!).

Ya i luv watching it since im a figure kater and enjoy the sport it is fun lookin at them do all the jumps so well and i like trying to figure what all the jumps they do.To bad thy hardly play it on tv it makes me mad!!  My fave skater is sasha cohen and i got to met her and she signed my skate!!!! Cuz she was silming in csi new york for one episode and we got to sit and watch her skate while filming but i think they cut us out cuz we were loud!! lo!!

But seriously I used to like watching it even before she was skating... like when I was a kid... I thought it was cool that people could do some of the things that they were doing in the first place let alone on ice!

My favorite skater would have to be my daughter.  Its funny,  she normally wears pink - like as much pink as she can put on!  and then will brag at how many different shades she has on and then one day there wont be any pink left in the drawer and she will have to wear something else and I will have to really look for her because she isn't "in her uniform."  But then when I am not really looking for her I will just happen to notice this little girl and thing "wow, she good!" and in a rink full of really great skaters she stood out and I am surprised that my kid is that good.  So I would definitely have to say my favorite skater is my own kid.
