High school changes you. Do you think you've changed a lot? How have you changed?

I'm just thinking. It's going to be my last year soon, and I don't know if I'm okay with who I am right now. Any advice or anything?

  1. well im gonna be a sophomore soon so i still have alot to do in high school...but yeah i do like who i'm becoming so far! i like my life at the moment =]

  2. I'M SO GLAD SOMEONE ASKED THIS, no, I' really not. I can't even explain how much I've changed this year, since about January! It was in my freshman year, too. I look at myself now and I really don't like it.

But what you need to see is you are still the same person deep down. If you still have the knowledge and can look at yourself and say, I don't like who I'm becoming and can see it then there is hope. You need to hold onto yourself as much as you can - follow your opinions, your morals and do what you want. In 10 years, the small things like parties and whether you were called prude by this or that guy won't matter, I promise you.

You sound like a strong girl and you're going to be fine, because you recognized the problem. Just keep your head high and think about what's best for YOU! Hope I helped(:

  3. YES !!  I changed alot since my freshman year in high school and im glad you asked this question because i was thinking on how i used to be three years ago. Im going to give you a run down description of what makes me different from my senior year now vs my freshman year.

Freshman Year: I didnt really care about school that much and i didnt have high standrds for myself what so ever. My main concern at that time was trying to sleep with a few girls here and there. I sold weed to other kids . I wasnt serious about school and skipped very often and got bad grades. One day , i talked this girl into having s*x with me after school at her house but i couldnt ride her school bus because her bus driver didnt recognize me. I was angry until i found out later that year that she had 3 std's. I thank God till this day that i wasnt on that bus and im very ashamed at how stupid i was. I later gave up on selling weed and focused on school a little bit more in my sophmore year. The reason for this might be because i got kicked out of my school within 3 months of my softmore year for fighting. Then in my junior year i had a 3.5. grade average. I think my uncle had knocked a little since into me one day in how i was making poor decisions that could ruin my life in the long run.

Senior Year:  At the begining i didnt care about school as much as i do now. Im in the top ten percent in my class and was on the honor roll last semester. I have changed a whole lot since my freshman year and i could go on and on about it. I just hope some of the feshman today could make a complete 360 for the better also.

  4. I don't think I have changed to much. I am just more social.

I do like the person I am becoming. I think you should just be yourself, not matter what.

  5. yes i think I'm changing. in middle school i was like really laid back and didn't care about anything but now I'm really into fashion and boys and all that and I'm a "w***e" according to the 9th grade. i don't really care about that though because i love the attention it gets me. i wouldn't mind being like this forever but i just hope it doesn't destroy my family

  6. I AM GOING TO EIGHTH GRADE.

I LIKE MY CHARACTER BUT I AM NOT INTO MY OUTSIDE APPEARANCE. I HAVE BEEN BATTLING OBESITY, NOT BEEN ABLE TO BUY NICE CLOTHES, AND NOW I FEEL LIKE MY INSIDE DOESN'T MATCH THE OUTSIDE.

I AM WORKING TO IMPROVE THIS BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO BE THIS WAY.

  7. I was in highschool not too long ago and I don't really know who I am. But I can tell you this, having only recently completed my first year of college. You have so many more parties to go to and drugs to experiment with! I'm being so honest here. Don't worry about who you are yet. Most likely you will die an idiot who thinks who you are has something to do with collecting elephant figurines and watching church on tv.

  8. Don't worry, Sweet. High school is nothing like the real world. Once you get out of that pigeon-holing environment, you'll be able to go and find like-minded people. You can try out different parts of your personality and build yourself into the sort of person you want to be. We all do it :)

Look around at the adults you know. Do any make worthy role models? Can you say things like, "I really like how patient X is," or "I wish I was as articulate as Y," or "Z has such great general knowledge." You can cultivate these sorts of things in yourself. Also, read a lot. Read a lot of different stuff about men and women. It helps you think, sometimes putting vague feelings you have into words so you can think about them properly. Find issues to care about. Do you care about the environment? Do you care about politics? Do you care about education? Do you think you should?

    Etc. :)

  9. i don't know i was really straightedge and got really good grades but this summer i kind of started messing with alcohol and getting drunk and i'm trying pot soon i just feel kind of sad and my friends are pissing me off sooo yeah not so thrilled right now

  10. i like who i am becoming =)

well thanks to sports i have always been the type of girl to stay out of trouble and get good grades. and thanks to good friends who are always there for me and a good family who is helping me make the best decisions. try your hardest and good things will come =)

  11. I like who I'm becoming... The only way high school has changed me is the way I look at my future. Before I had it all planned out and now I have no idea on whats going to happen.

Just be yourself. It's what I'm doing.
