  1. I went to the Vet a month ago because I just got a bunny a few months ago, and wanted the nails clipped. I bought it from someone on Craigslist and I looked, and according to a website with pictures, the bunny was a girl. But when I was at the Vet, they said it was a boy.  They advised me that boy bunnies get very feisty when they start to get older. And they will start to bite and wont like to be held and will kick like crazy if you get ahold of them. They get very crazy. And she said if he starts biting and acting mean, I should take him to be neutered, because that will help calm him down. And she said that stores don't even sell boy bunnies anymore, because of how dangerous they can be.

So be prepared for that. I don't know if anyone else will tell you that, so I thought I would. This is the first time I have a pet bunny. Right now he's very sweet and really funny. Sometimes he'll sit and watch tv with me and others he will hide behind the couch. Or he will come sit on my lap when I am kneeling on the ground.  So right when you get them it is not that bad.

I don't have a dwarf bunny, but the Vet said that this feistiness will happen in all bunnies (and in most animals, any kind) that are male.

  2. I have 12 Netherlands and they are great. The smaller breeds are more hyper but they are super bunnies. Just handle him every day to keep him calm and to help him get used to you.

  3. i have a few af those rabbits about 8 of them one top pointer is keep them cool/cold make sure its cage has a roof and is off ground and if the temp. is 86 degrees or more freze a water bottle or milk jug or what ever you have and make sure its food is always full and fresh same with the water treat it once a week with a carrot or any veggie hope i helped good luck.

  4. I own a male netherland dwarf and he is so cute. You should get him neutered bec its better. Remember that hes the smallest of all domesticaded rabbits so he will be afraide so leave him alone for the first few days until he gets used to his sourondings. Then open the cage and see if he wants to get out. Dont grab at him bec he will get scared. Let him come to you and hold out some treats like bananas.
