Yes and no. I love Dave Niehaus...but the rest of the guys they have working with him nowadays are pretty weak.

Harry Kalas is the best there ever was...hands down. But EVERYONE else announcing anything for the Phillies is just down right awful. They're painful to listen to. I'm surprised Harry hasn't hung himself with his microphone cord yet.

only good baseball announcers that are for a team station not national are the mets and yankees. for every play no matter the team they have the same exitment level in there voice also they dont use we or us when they talk about the teams all other announcers especially the cubs whitesox and braves blow

i think howie rose is the best broadcaster in new york when it comes to baseball and hockey and gary cohen is pretty excited too on the tv

I agree with eric d. I actually went to that game where they awarded him for being the best broadcaster. There is simply nobody better than vin. NOBODY

John sterling is the worst. However The yes network does have some pretty good ones (micheal kay, paul o neil, david cone)

Florida marlins announcers Rich Waltz and Tommy Hutton, they know a lot about baseball and always are funny; definitely not boring to listen to.

ITS FUNNY HOW MANY TEAMS HAVE THE BEST BROADCASTER OF ALL TIME WHEN THERE IS ONLY ONE....... VIN SCULLY!!!! I LOVE VINNY AND AM THANKFUL WHENEVER I CAN HERE HIS VOICE. AND JUST TO PROVE MY POINT ON HIM BEING THE BEST I HAVE A LITTLE STORY. IN 1999 THEY TOOK A POLL OF 100 SPORTS BROADCASTERS TO NAME THE BEST BROADCASTER OF THE PAST CENTURY AND 99 VOTES WENT TO VIN SCULLY. THE ONLY PERSON NOT TO VOTE FOR VIN SCULLY WAS VIN SCULLY. HE VOTED FOR FORMER DODGER BROADCASTER RED BARBER BECAUSE HE TREATED VINNY LIKE HIS SON WHILE HE WAS LEARNING THE ROPES....... VIN SCULLY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!

Not the best you know..Michael Kay. John Sterling I would say he's ok but Michael Kay....it seems to get on my last nerve when he starts screaming "A BOMB FROM THE A-ROD" (but lately he hasn't been saying that as A-Rod hasn't been hitting a lot of home runs). He says many more things, just don't feel like naming them! XD

Yeah, Bob Carpenter and Don Sutton do a good job for the Nats. A lot of good insights from Sutton, better than a lot of announcers I've heard, and they're good about telling you what's going on with the scorecard.

I'm an Angels fan and think our announcers do a pretty good job. Mark Gubicza, Rory Markas, Terry Smith, and Steve Physioc are fairly good, Rex Hudler is good, but sometimes sounds a little too over enthusiastic.

I'm not a Dodger fan, but sometimes I watch Dodger games when there's nothing else on. I know Vin Scully is a very hard worker and will be a Hall of Famer, especially since he's on alone. He's very good and doesn't miss a beat, has good transitions between subjects and very little dead time. But...I'm just not into his voice, it tends to make him sound "old"...it's hard to explain, but it makes me think of the team as an "old" team.

Oakland Athletics

TV:

Glen Kuiper-good voice.  I think he won an award a few years back for braodcasting.

Ray Fosse-OUtstanding. One of my favs.  Can broadcast the game, but an excellent color comentator.  Its like he says what im always thinking.

Radio:

Vince Controneo-average to be hoenst.  Seems like he doesnt really have much of a personality

Ken Korach-One of the best and underrated broadcaster.  Hey, he learned from the best, Bill king. He pours a lotta emotion into it.

I absolutely LOVE them. Bert Blyleven, d**k Bremmer, Coom and the rest of them  are the best! They are so funny too, they make it a lot of fun!

Yeah, I really do.  You can't beat Bob Uecker announcing on the radio, and FSNWI's announcers are great too.
